Our Story

An old story,
quietly continued

جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ

Órgiva is a small town in the Alpujarras of Andalucía with a deep and often forgotten Muslim history. During the turmoil of the Reconquista, it became a place of refuge for Muslim families fleeing the fall of Granada — and it continued to host them for centuries afterward.

Today, El Jardín de Al Andalus is a small, quiet corner of the town — a musalla serving the families who pray here, and part of the everyday life of Órgiva alongside its neighbours.

It is a place of prayer, gathering, and quiet return — with a door open to anyone, of any background, who wishes to visit, ask a question, or simply share a cup of tea.
